Pycharm is a Python IDE for professional developers. Also I believe it is a better IDE for new users. As a linux user you may think installing Pycharm is somewhat hard as other softwares. Also if you are new to Linux, then you will probably imagine it is lots of coding.

Well, lets start installing Pycharm.

There is 2 ways to install Pycharm.

Way 1:

You can add pycharm ppa and then install pycharm. If you are a new linux user I recommend this method. Because it is easy to install. But you need a good internet connection.

First open your terminal and enter the following command to add the ppa.

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mystic-mirage/pycharm

Then you need to update the software list and install Pycharm. To do; run the following commands;

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install pycharm

Now the Pycharm is installed! You can run it!

Ok, now lets see the 2nd way

Way 2:

First you need to go to jetbean site and download Pycharm. Then you have to extract the downloaded tar.gz. To extract the downloaded bundal use following command.

$ tar xvzf <file name>.tar.gz

Then open pycham in ectractfolder/bin/ to exicute it run the following command.

$ ./<extract file name>/bin/

You can easily run Pycharm with this method.

Well, I hope you have done it correctly. Please leave a comment if you have any problems or need any assistance.
